9 Jun 2010 - Arrive at St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands

Charlotte Amalie

Edward Wilmoth Blyden IV Marine Facility - The terminal sits on the St. Thomas waterfront apron
A tiny port with three counters for immration control.  After ten-prints, it's found that I have filled in wrong form (as I was holding BNO but mistaken as British resident)

Our ferry

Many cars and taxis parked at the dock yard waiting for passengers.  We finally got one to reach our hotel - Blackbeard's Castle (the most expensive stay in this journey)

Full of Caribbean pirates.  At his back are the apartments

A cruise ship parked at the ferry dock

Many British style buildings at the back

Rum is the only famous drink in the area.  Here is a Rum Museum

Our room

View outside the porch

Two Chinese style pictures - Fortune & Prosperity at the bed sides

After settling down, we started our journey for St. Thomas

Headed to the famous 99 Steps

Down the steep hillside towards the water

Have not counted the steps seriously
