Castillo de San Cristóbal
On our way to San Juan, Hilda told us where to taste local food and reminded us to visit the folk dance show in Castle Christopher at Old San Juan on every Tuesday (that was the day we arived at San Juan).
After the late and light lunch and necessary grocery shopping at the supermarket nearby, we hurried to Old San Juan. The show had already started when we got there.

Folk dance party organized by the Tourist Association

Salsa dance - very hot and energetic

After the show, we dashed around and took pictures at every corner of the castle. A set of three flags - Burgandy Cross, Puerto Rican and USA

Overseeing the ferry pier for large cruise ships and the other side of the bay - Cantaño

Battery tower

A big round orange falling down to the sea level

Model of the castle

Main street along the tourist area with many restaurants

At last we located Raices - cannot imagine the pronounciation in Spanish

The restaurant is very modern, using POS liosk (touch screen at the top left corner) but project a rural atmosphere by using tin mug and plates

I was looking for local roasted piglet, similar to Chinese style but it was served in family size. I then ordered pork chop with deep fried ripe banana. Carrie ordered Mofongo which is smashed banana cooked with garlic

Music came up and all waitors gathered and sang "hppy Birthday" to a lady sitting at next table to us. We joined in too.
