Journey Begin
Upon planning the journey, the airfare rose and finally it took me $13K to travel to the Caribbean. The time for a single way added up to more than 30 hours.
Another must-do was to apply for a US Visa. It was really a big task to me - to fill in a complicated application form on-line, take a digital picture for on-line submission and print it out with the required dimension. Thanks for my brother with a photo printer. It's required to have ten-prints (finger prints) + photo taking upon each clearance at immigrations.
I took a direct flight to New York which last for 15 hours, I really scared that I could not make it. It was quite lucky to have a girl sitting at aisle and we have an empty seat in between (for both return flights).
Over New Jersey

Newark is the home of Continental. Just learnt that Continental would merge with United Airline a few days before my departure.

Though there was a 6-hour allowed for transfer, after landing and cleared all the scanning, I had no time to go out to Manhattan to have a look. The only thing I could do was to zoom out to have a distant look of the Manhattan district.

Transfer flight to San Juan. Looking out from the window and got impressed.

Next morning, take the Cape Air for another flight to Tortola (BVI). Together with Liat, they are the carriers around the Caribbean.

I have a female pilot. This plane is so tiny that it could carry less than 8 people.

I just sat behind the pilot. Easy to spot all her actions.

You can see how tiny the plane is when this big guy trying to get off. We need to put all our hand carry in the compartment at the wing (with silver grey cover).

Arrive at the Beef Island Airport

There should be a welcome guy waiting for me at the aiport. However, I missed him and just walked straight to the pier by myself.

This was the ferry I took for Virgin Gorda, it would depart in 90 minutes.

Many boats and yachts stopped by during my wait.

Finally arrive at Virgin Gorda, the eastmost island of British Virgin Islands.
