8 Jun 2010 Anegada (BVI)

Day trip to Anegada

The msot northerly and isolated of the British Virgins, Anegada has a population of bout 250.  This is a remote little corner of the Caribbean.  It's a coral-and-limestone atoll, flat, with an airtrip.  At the northern and western ends of the island are good white-sand beaches.  There established a flamingo colony.

Joined a very expensive day-trip with Dive BVI, with this camervan

It took around an hour to stop over to gather more guests and head north to Anegada - I sticked to my seat next to the captain to make sure I would not get sea sick.

First stopped at Little Dix Bay

Second stop at Bitter End Yacht Club (northern part of Virgon Gorda, reachable by sea only)

Arrive at Anegada - this little lady was our tour guide Marion. She has powerful arms to carry a big bag and serve as sailor for boat stop at piers

It's really a flat island

Loblolly Bay - with the most spectacular snorkeling in the BVI

Recommended by many guide books to lunch at Big Bamboo

Anegada is famous of Lobsters - yummy!

My lunch dish - Fried shrimps

Tons of lobsters were caught in cage

Hungry sea gull chased after our boat for food

Back to Little Dix Bay - two guests sitting on floating chair - really relaxing

A little complex at the harbour with a tiny restaurant and a few shops
