Get Back to Mainland

When we got out from the terminal, a taxi driver approached us and we told him our destination. He tried to charged us more as he said our destination was far from the beach. However, he mistakenly took us to another hotel and needed to get back to Hotel Yunque Mar at Playa Fortuna.

Reception desk, manned by the daughter of the owner. She is very friendly and helped us to find a tour guide for El Yunque. It was family run. Interior decoration with heart -- there are shells on the plate around the electrical switch

Beautiful picture

Our room

Our room is at the ground floor, with bacony overlooking the pool and the opening to the beach.

After settled down, we went out for a late lunch + dinner. It was so nice to walk down a flight of stairs towards the beach. We strolled along the beach, and collected sea shells on the sand beach.
At the far end is the fabulous Playa Luquillo, a mile-long arc to a point of sand shaded by evocative coconut palms.

After collecting many different kinds of shells, I put them in a bottle for memory.

We found a decent restaurant La Parrilla Bar & Grill for fine dinning

Later on, we moved to another part with beautiful decoration

Fish in the aquarium at the side

Lovely decorated rubbish bin

Two swan like birds shinning under the strong sunlight

We were warned to get back to the hotel before sunset. So we got back after the meal and swimmed in the strong waves just outside our hotel until sunset.
