St. Croix

Early in the morning, we needed to reach the pier by 7:00 to catch the first ferry to St. Croix.

While waiting for the 7:45 Ferry, we tried to take pictures of seaplanes landing onto the sea.

There is an airport for sea planes nearby.

After a 90 mins ride, we arrived at Gallows Bay of St. Croix, overseeing the Fort Christiansvaern

We then took a 15 minutes' walk to the town - Christiansted.  Here we found a beautiful house, with a sharp-yellow car parked outside

There is a hotel at the outlying cay (Protestant Cay).

At the Visitors Bureau, there is a display of different seeds as collected around the island by a lady working there

People waited at the bus stop outside the Hendricks Square - fruits and vegetables are sold at the timbered roof stalls.

Then we took taxi to Cane Bay for snorkel, just discovered that we need to swim quite far away from the shore to the Wall and we abandoned.

After that, we went for a drink and early dinner.

It's a pity that we could not afford the sidetrip to Buck Island, a legendary island with crystal-clear waters and white-coral sands.  Some call it the single-most-important attraction of the Caribbean.  Buck Island's great attraction is its underwater snorkeling trails, which ring part of the island and are maintained by the National Park Service.
