Fiji at South Pacific
This trip is quite unexpected. When I was still planning my Tasmania trip at last year end, I came across a promotion of direct flight to Fiji at exceptional low price $3,888. Without second thought, I made a quick order as South Pacific horizon is my long wanted destination, though Tahiti was my first choice at that time.
Not until I landed at Fiji, I had no concrete idea of what to do during these four days.
My plane of Air Pacific (taken at HK Airport)
I was lucky to have reserved a hotel near the Nadi airport at reasonable price. There were quite a lot of Japanese visitors stayed in this hotel.
I landed at the place in early Sunday morning. It was really tired after 10 hours' flight with 4 hours' jet lag, even though I had few snap on the plane. I checked in the hotel and took a bath to refresh myself. Then I found it was tight in time to attend a Sunday service at nearby village but I was delighted when told by the reception desk that there was a church hosting sunday service at the convention hall in the hotel. It was going to start in a few minutes...
When entering the convention hall, I was greeted warmly. It was so nice to join their worship. The worship team was consisted of a team leader, four voices - soprano, alto, tenor and base but there was no musical instrument. All songs were sung in acappella, really amazing.
However, I was struck when learnt that there was a hurricane Thomas coming in one or two days. After the service, I returned to my room and could not help fallen asleep.
I got up around 2:30pm and tried to go out for a walk. This is the path leading to the hotel. Palm trees on both side of the path.
Can you see there is a narrow railway in front of the van? It is already abandoned but had been used for cane sugar transportation.
