I prayed very hard for Noel, how to let her walk all the way such that we could get back to HK safely.
There was a message clearly flushed into my mind that she needed to bandage her knee such that she would not further hurt her knee.
Once I opened my eyes, I told Noel that "You need bandage!" but we needed to check if there was any bandage around. Thanks the Lord that the Korean guy got 2 rolls of bandage and he helped to bandage Noel's knee. I could not explain this except quoting this a miracle from the Lord that we could experience when we were so desperate and had no other way out.
There were 3 beds in this room and I took the one at far end. When I packed my luggage, there was a big (1.5") red spider coming out from the pillow, OMG! I might have slept with it all the night!
You can see that the bedrooms were constructed with thin wooden boards
Then we needed to start off. As it was shaded from sunshine, there was ice on the ground and very slippery. We walked really slow and scared on each step.
This was the most difficult part to walk down as it was slippery and we needed to climb down through big boulders and cross this shabby bridge.
After getting out from the valleys, we entered into sunshine
Less snow and more plantation
Brunch of little violet flowers
Like a snow river cutting across the bushes
Noel said that it was a snowslide but I argued that it was rather stable. Anyway, it was amazing that we crossed it and got to the other side safely
Then we entered into thick snow again, to ascend Kasturee Danda (Musk Deer Ridge). I let Noel to use my stick to ease her walk.
Contrast to see clear blue sky on the other side
Past through bamboo groves but the Nepali bamboo was very thin
More blossoms to cheer us up
Finally, we reached Gopte (3440m). There were only two simple seasonal lodges at Gopte.
Noel took the time to get rest. I took pictures of this interesting hut. Some colourful posters on the wall
The rhododendron forests burst into flower in March and April, painting tje landscape in swathes of white, pink and red
Our lunch - after finished my onion soup, I could only eat a little fried potatoes and share the remaining to our guide and porter
