After lunch, we needed to take up another challenged walk. I knew that I could no longer carry my DSLR by myself and thus I handed it over to our porter Locksman. That meant I could not take shots whenever I liked.
The trail climbs to a pass and then continues on an exposed trail. Under obscured view, Babo pointed me to a big white bird crawling on the snow about 15m away. He said it was the national bird of Nepal, which is Lophophorous (Daphe in Nepali). I looked up its details on the net and found the following:
The Himalayan Monal, Lophophorus impejanus also known as the Impeyan Monal or Impeyan Pheasant or Danphe is a bird of genus Lophophorus of the pheasant family, Phasianidae. It is the national bird of Nepal, where it is known as the Danfe, and the state bird of Uttarakhand.
Babo dragged Noel to go up, Locksman walked beside me to walk slowly to follow. I used my hiking stick to push myself up the slope, step by step. Once, there was snow rain but this did not stop us keeping on our way. At the top of the slope, there was a shrine and we could stop and take a longer rest.
We were really exhausted with an hour hard walk
We were now at altitude over 4000m and I sometimes lost my balance and fell like I was drunk.

At the tea house, the weather became stabilized, there was a good view of the second lake Bhairav Kund through the window
The third lake is Gosainkund, at an altitude of 4380m
As it was cold outside, we dared not to go out. While Noel took a nap, I chatted with other travellers, a couple from Britain, the husband was sent by the government to work on joint projects with Nepali government. Babo and Locksman joined the other Nepali friends to play card games. Locksman tried to teach me to play card game - German Bridge.
We went to bed early without taking a bath.
