On our way to Thurlo Syabru

We were merged into tall tree forest

There ae livestocks along our way. flocks of sheep were guided to be fed around.

Shepherd in tyical clothing.  For adults, they carried a short knife at their waist.

Many plant drop-off (long cone) could be found along the trail

Though cloudy, we were so blessed that there was no rain at all.

 

There was a cross road and we needed to follow the path under a bridge

Then we entered into a village - Brabal Chiraito Model Village

There were a herd of 4 cattles rushing towards us, I could step aside and let them pass.  However, Noel could not respond and they hit her down.  Babo fighted to chase them away.

Finally we arrived at Thulo Syabru

We were so lucky that we were the only visitors and we could choose our room.  We took the largest one and this had 3-sided floor-to ceiling glass windows

It's cold but it relied on solar energy for heating water.  With little sun shine that day, the water was just cool.  I dared not to take shower, but rather to wash my body with towel in water bucket.

After washing, we went downstairs for dinner.  A typical design of teahouse that people could sit around  a heater.  Water could be boiled over the heater.

 

I ordered Daal Bhaat for dinner - with lentil soup, there was some curd of vegetable, tasted like fermented bean curd.
