23 Apr 2013 Trekking Day 3 from Singh Gompa

Morning sight

Once opened my eyes, I looked out from the window and found the amazing view - at one side, mist filled up the valley; on the other side, there was sunshine on the snow-covered mountain tip with a clear blue sky.

What a wonderful sunny day!  Thanks the Lord.
I brushed my teeth facing this beautiful view

Breakfast

A French traveller sticked a piece of bread on the surface of the heater.  He said that he did the same when he was young.  The piece of bread would be toasted and fell off when it was done, interesting!

I had apple pancake and Noel had garlic toast for breakfast.  First time to find paste of garlic granules on top of a piece of toast!

Start off

We departed from the village and went up the hill

Lovely yellow flowers

Fine views of the Ganesh Himal range

As we walked along, snow built up gradually on the ground

The walk climbed steeply and thanked that there were steps but our Nepali friends still walked very fast

Tea houses at Chalang Pati (3550m)
At where I bought a little wooden box imprinted with precious stones (NPR500) and Noel bought a bracelet (NPR300)

The trail continued to climb, with magnificant views include Annapurnas, Manaslu (8156m) and the four peaks of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung.

To climb the slope, I needed to bend down and walked with my every strength

The weather changed very fast and turned to misty, with obscured view

I found myself suffered from mild symptom of altitute sickness AMS and needed to walk slowly.  After difficult walk, I even felt breathlessness and exhausted but finally I could strike through to reach Laurebina Yak.

Thick snow outside

Lovely hats on sale

Our lunch - we needed more fluid to overcome AMS, noodle soup is my favourite
