On the way back to Lauceston

We flew 2 days before to Lauceston but we drove right away to the east coast.  We passed by Lauceston again for stocking up the grocery before entering the Cradle Mountain area.

Lauceston is famous on her nothern shore for the Tamer Valley all the way leading to the Bass Strait separating Tassie from the Aussie mainland.  We could only manage to visit Cataract Gorge in Lauceston.

It is the world's longest single span chairlift.

There is an admision free swimming pool and playground at the First Basin, many families like to spend a day here.

We walked from the first bridge - Alexander Suspension Bridge to the one at the Second Basin and Duck Reach, the earliest municipal hydroelectric power station in Australia.

On the second bridge, we were hit by a strong wind and we all screamed.  My hat was nearly blown off but I was just fast to press it back on my head.  Later, it's found that Clara's hat had been blown away.
