3 Jan 2010 Freycinet National Park

Freycinet National Park

All the way to Freycinet, we passed through Bicheno, a hot spot in Tassie to view the little penguins.  I really longed for taking this one-hour tour at dusk to have a close look to them as the birds heading back to their burrows.  As we had already booked our accomodation near Coles Bay, an hour drive from here, we could not have a chance to join the tour.

Before entering the Freycinet area, we dropped by the Freycinet Oyster Farm, the one that mentioned in the magazine and many travel guide books.  It's just like a little tuck shop and we ordered a dozen oysters and 4 scallops.  Really fresh, a little pity that the premium oysters had been sold out.  Enjoyed the meal too much that I forgot to take pictures.

We started our first bush-walk to the Wineglass Bay Look-out.

A very beautiful Wineglass Bay

Later on, Livia and I continued to walk all the way down to the beach.  A passer-by pointed out to the sea for dolphines but I could not spot any.

As in our way back, a wallaby appeared to greet us.

It's already sunset when we finished today's walk.

We slept in the holiday park in Freycinet.  We got a house with 2 bedrooms.  This was the most comfortable place we got in Tassie.  I cooked that night pasta for our dinner.  It took around an hour to do so as the power of the stove was week.  We took the chance for laundry as well.  After all  the work, we could go to bed at around 12:00 but need to get up 7:00 the following day.
